Royal Massacre Of Nepal [Top 5 Conspiracy Theory]

royal massacre of nepal

The Nepalese royal massacre occurred on 1st June 2001 at a house in the grounds of the Narayanhiti Royal Palace. It was reported that the heir to the throne Prince Dipendra killed nine members of his family and himself during a party or monthly reunion dinner of the royal family but the massacre is full of conspiracies. So here are Top 5 conspiracy theories of Royal Nepal massacre.

Number 5. Two Masked Men.
RaktaKunda meaning "pool of blood" is a Nepali novel by journalist Krishna Abiral. Based on the accounts of real event that took place in the year 2001 precisely the Royal Massacre the novel tries to describe and explain the context and the background as well as the activity that took place before during and after the monstrous act. It looks at the incident through the eyes of one of the surviving witnesses Queen Mother Ratna's personal maid, identified in the book as Santa. The book which the author says is a historical novel states that two men masked as Crown Prince Dipendra fired the shots that led to the massacre. Santa's husband Trilochan Aacharya, also a royal palace employee was killed along with 10 royal family members including the entire family of King Birendra. Well the two masked men conspiracy is still unclarified, who knows what happened inside the palace that night.

Number 4. Foreign Involvement.
Many Nepalese people are skeptical of the official report that, the then Crown Prince Dipendra carried out the murder. King Birendra and his son Dipendra were very popular and well respected by the Nepalese population. Subsequently Pushpa Kamal Dahal the chairman of the Nepalese Maoist Party in a public gathering claimed that the massacre was planned by the Indian intelligence agency RAW or the American CIA. Was there any involvement of foreigners behind the massacre? well the conspiracy still exists.

Number 3. Gyanendra behind the massacre.
Gyanendra and especially his son Paras were grossly unpopular with the public. Many people still believe that Gyanendra had a hand in the massacre so that he could assume the throne himself. On the day of the massacre he was in Pokhara whilst other royals were attending a dinner function. His wife Komal, Paras and daughter Prerana were in the room at the royal palace during the massacre. While the entire families of birendra wiped out nobody in Gyanendra's family died his son escaped with slight injuries and his wife sustained a life-threatening bullet wound but survived. Furthermore destroying of buildings where the shooting took place indeed raised everyone's eyebrows.

Number 2. Who Killed Dipendra.
After the massacre Dipendra was rushed to the army hospital where he was in a coma for a three days as King of Nepal. The royal doctor was reportedly barred from seeing him and another doctor conducted all tests and declared the crown prince dead. He was rushed to the funeral pyre and burned before post-mortem could be conducted. Many people believe that, this was done to cover up the fact that Dipendra did not shoot himself and that there were others involved. There are rumours that the wound he died of could not have been self-inflicted. Lamteri a junior army staff at Narayanhiti Palace claimed that he saw Dipendra who got six bullet shots in his back and one on the left hand in an inebriated state in his private room before the royal family was killed. Surya Bikram Gurung, who prepared the report as the Parliament general secretary, stated that he cannot say who killed Dipendra.

Number 1. Love of Devyani Rana.
The widely circulated rumour is that Prince Dipendra was angry over a marriage dispute. Dipendra's choice of bride was Devyani Rana, daughter of Pashupati SJB Rana a member of the Rana clan which the Shah dynasty have a historic animosity against. The Rana clan had served as the hereditary prime ministers of Nepal with the title Maharaja until 1951 and the two clans have a long history, of inter-marriages. It is also speculated that the reason for the marriage dispute over Deependra's choice of wife was that the royal family had a position that the crown prince should not marry someone having relatives in India as Devyani did. Devyani Rana fled to India immediately after the royal massacre to escape media attention. She's currently married to Kunwar Aishwarya Singh and works for the United Nations Development Programme. Can a girl be the reason behind such a disaster? Can Dipendra kill his own parents for the sake of his love? Well the question is unsolved.

The truth may never be known and people in Nepal will keep on coming up with their own set of theories or reshape old ones until an in-depth investigation is done to unravel the lingering mystery. However there's still a love hidden on the corner of our hearts for the late King Birendra and he will be remembered for years.
