5 Most Dangerous Places In Nepal


Nepal is an adventurous country and many tourist come in Nepal for adventure. There are many world famous dangerous places in Nepal like the Lukla airport and the Mt. Everest itself. But today we gonna find out 5 most dangerous places in Nepal. Before we being let me clarify that the list is based on the latest statistics of Nepal Police for the crime counts of different districts. Now let's get started.
Number 5. Rupandehi.
Rupandehi district is a part of province No.5 and covers area of 1360 kilometer square. The district headquarter is Sidharthanagar. As per the national census 2011, the population of Rupandehi was 8,80,196. Lumbini birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha lies in Rupandehi district. Rupandehi has 48 VDCs, 5 Municipalities and 1 Sub-Metropolitan city. According to the Nepal police latest statistics, the crime count of Rupandehi was 1179. It is unfortunate that the birthplace of Lord Buddha has such a high crime count.
Number 4. Jhapa.
Jhapa is a Terai district in province No.1 in Eastern Nepal and covers 1,606 kilometer square. As per the national census 2011, the population of Jhapa was 8,12,650. Chandragiri is the headquarter of Jhapa district. Jhapa borders Ilam district in the north, Morang district in the west and India in the south and the east. Jhapa also has the highest literacy rate in the country after Kathmandu, Kaski and Chitwan districts. Jhapa has 37 VDCs, 8 Municipalities and is famous for micro-credit development. According to the Nepal police latest statistics, the crime count of Jhapa was 1196. 
Number 3. Chitwan. 
Chitwan district lies in south-western part of province No.3. It covers an area of 2,238.39 kilometer square. The fifth largest city Bharatpur is the headquarter of Chitwan district. As per the national census 2011, the population of Chitwan was 5,79,984. It is a commercial, service and tourism center of central-south Nepal. Chitwan has 30 VDCs, 7 Municipalities and 1 Sub-Metropolitan city. According to the Nepal police latest statistics, the crime count of Chitwan was 1241.  
Number 2. Sunsari.
Sunsari district is a part of province No.1 in Terai plain. It covers an area of 1,257 kilometer square. As per the national census 2011, the population of Sunsari was 7,63,487. Sunsari lies in the outer Terai-Madhesh plain of Nepal and has many industries. It has 37 VDCs, 9 Municipalities and has the second highest crime rate in Nepal. According to the Nepal police latest statistics, the crime count of Sunsari was 1441.
Number 1. Kathmandu.
Kathmandu is the capital and largest municipality of Nepal. Kathmandu is the only city of Nepal with the administrative status of Metropolitan city. As per the national census 2011, the population of Kathmandu was 10,03,285. Kathmandu measures 49.45 kilometer square and has the highest literacy rate in the country. It is also the gateway to tourism in Nepal. It is also the hub of country's economy. Despite all the modern facilities, Kathmandu has the highest crime rate in Nepal. According to the Nepal police latest statistics, the crime count of Kathmandu was 4917.
