Website of Prime Minister of Nepal KP Sharma Oli Hacked? Adult Content Uploaded in PM's Website

Recently we came across the news that the official website of Prime Minister of Nepal K.P. Sharma Oli (www.kpsharmaoli.com) was hacked but I would like to clarify that it was not the primary website. In fact, the real official website of the current prime minister of Nepal is www.kpsharmaoli.com.np. So, it was the hoax. Not really.
It's true that one of the websites of KP Sharma Oli (www.kpsharmaoli.com) was hacked or in order sense misused by someone. The fact is, the particular domain was not renewed for a long period of time and someone registered the existing expired domain and notoriously uploaded adult content on the website. Currently, the website is registered by Chengdu West Dimension Digital Technology Co., Ltd. and the domain expires in 2020-05-28T16:08:01Z. The domain was registered in California with the IP address 156.238.216.62.
Currently, the ISPs of Nepal have blocked the website but still, you can visit the website through several methods.
This is not a hack but negligence. Even Google has suffered such negligence in the past. Ex-Googler Sanmay Ved once bought google.com for one minute. He was searching for the domain name and accidentally found that google.com was available for just $12. Not only Google but in 2003, even Microsoft failed to renew its hotmail.co.uk web address.
A domain name is important to access any website. Most of the top-level domain cost money and need to be purchased and renewed periodically. If one fails to renew the domain then the domain gets expired and can be purchased by anyone in the world so its important to keep the eye on the expiry date of the domain.
